Dan Branch, ASA joined IAG as a Partner on January 1, 2014, after having served as Senior Director at the business valuation firm of Taylor Consulting Group for several years. Dan has over 10 years of experience as a business valuation specialist working on diverse client engagements in bottling/beverage, telecommunications, healthcare, financial services, technology, and other industries. His experience adds new business valuation skill sets to IAG’s existing business valuation practice. Specifically, his experience related to financial reporting for public companies (intangible assets impairment testing under ASC 350; purchase price allocations under ASC 805), valuations of closely held businesses (under ASC 718/IRC §409A), valuations of employee stock option plans (ESOPS), as well as fairness opinions for planned public company acquisitions compliment IAG’s existing valuation services. Dan’s experience in complex corporate litigation support adds to IAG’s already strong litigation support services. Dan holds the Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) designation from the American Society of Appraisers and is pursuing the CPA designation.
Before his career in business valuation consulting, Dan spent five years as an officer in the U.S. Navy, where he specialized in nuclear propulsion systems for aircraft carriers, notably the USS Enterprise (CVN 65).
We are very excited to have Dan on our team and believe that he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience which will significantly enhance our capabilities and opportunities to serve our clients.
