
On Tuesday, May 20, 2014, Laurie Dyke testified in the Rabun County trial of Lowanda “Peanut” Kilby, the former director of the Boggs Mountain Humane Shelter. Laurie’s testimony showed how donations intended to support dogs in the shelter’s Lucky Dog program were, instead, diverted to Ms. Kilby’s personal accounts. Ms. Kilby was convicted of all 60 felony counts with which she was charged.
