IAG Professionals Present Case Study to GSU Students

On February 28, 2013, IAG’s Pat Salem, Caroline Chang and Luke Thomas presented a case study to Professor Katrina Kiselinchev’s Master’s level internal audit class at Georgia State University.

The purpose of this presentation was to introduce the students to the processes, procedures and tools used in a forensic investigation. The case presented to the students was a composite of several cases and contained components similar to those of real cases. After reviewing the case background and discussing areas of concern, the students used Microsoft Excel to prep the raw data and then used CaseWare’s IDEA to analyze the data.

IAG commends Professor Kiselinchev for providing her students with a well rounded curriculum by combining their traditional coursework with exposure to real world scenarios. Her students will be better prepared as they leave Georgia State and apply all that they have learned in her class.
